Our seminars include a light breakfast. Our webinars cost $50 per connection and include a question and answer period. Webinars can be accessed from your home or office with a telephone and high-speed internet connection. The number of attendees per connection is unlimited. Managing Your Boss: Dealing with the Employment Issues of Executives and Senior Managers Go beyond the basics and learn more about the unique employment issues relevant to executives and senior managers. This practical seminar will cover the provisions to include in executive employment contracts, the latest on confidentiality, non-competition and non-solicitation clauses and how to enforce those clauses. We will briefly deal with select issues related to resignation, retirement, or termination of a long service senior management employee.
Winning Arbitrations Practical tips and tactical strategies. How to win an arbitration and discourage the next one. The session will include some discussion of recent arbitration decisions to demonstrate pitfalls to avoid and successful strategies.
Trends and Forecasts in Workplace Law Workplace law continues to evolve. In this seminar, we will provide a comprehensive overview of significant legal trends and forecasts as we head into 2013. Topics will likely include: practice and procedure developments at the BC Human Rights Tribunal, work related Charter issues, medical trends including workplace “stress”, and severance pay and constructive dismissal trends for non-union employees. We will also provide you with an update on the latest in workplace immigration issues.
