Barb advises clients facing workplace challenges in the areas of management-side labour, employment and human rights law. In so doing, Barb strives to provide practical advice aimed at creating cost-effective solutions. For clients involved in litigation, Barb is a legal research specialist with expertise in developing written argument aimed at resolving complex legal issues before various administrative tribunals and the courts. Barb's skill in this regard is particularly relevant in scenarios where claims are adjudicated solely on the basis of written submissions, such as applications before the Human Rights Tribunal and the Labour Relations Board.

Barb studied Political Science at U.B.C. where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree. She then ventured East to attend law school at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. After enduring several "real" winters, one of which included the spectacular Ice Storm of 1998, Barb returned home to article with a large national firm. Barb has practiced with Greyell MacPhail, a predecessor to Roper Greyell, since being called to the bar in February 2002.

Vancouver Canucks hockey is one of Barb's greatest passions. From proudly displaying rare team memorabilia throughout her office, to traveling across the continent to see the team play in every Canadian NHL rink as well as many across the United States, Barb is the Canucks' biggest fan. Seemingly against all odds, Barb's faith does not waiver as she patiently awaits the moment when #16 will hoist the Stanley Cup.

When not watching hockey, Barb enjoys relaxing with her family and keeping up with the antics of her charming wiener dog, Frank.
