Jennifer Russell


Jennifer acts for employers in all areas of labour, employment and human rights law. She also represents both employers and employees in wrongful dismissal actions. Jennifer has co-authored several papers and articles on various labour and employment related topics. She is a member of Human Resources Management Association of British Columbia, and the Employment, Labour, Administrative, and Civil Litigation sub-sections of the Canadian Bar Association.

Jennifer received her Honours Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences and History from Queen’s University in 2000, and her law degree from the University of British Columbia. She was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2005.

While attending law school, Jennifer also obtained a Diploma in Natural Resources Law through the Dr. Andrew R. Thompson Natural Resources Law Program.  Jennifer received several awards and scholarships during her academic career, and represented U.B.C. at the 2003 Canadian Labour Arbitration Competition.  She spent her final semester studying international and natural resource law at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.

Jenn has a passion for live music and is an accomplished violinist.  She is also an avid soccer player. Jenn loves to travel and although many of her best memories have come from her various adventures around the world, she has yet to find anywhere more beautiful than her hometown near Slocan Lake in the Kootenays.
