Liisa Spoor
Liisa was a passionate advocate. Prior to obtaining her law degree from U.B.C. Law in 2004, Liisa was a respected and valued representative of TWU members at BCTel/TELUS. After being called to the B.C. Bar in 2005 Liisa practiced with the Labour, Employment and Human Rights group at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP before joining Roper Greyell in 2006. Liisa authored various publications on human rights, privacy and employment law during her career. Liisa is remembered by her clients for her commitment, caring and tireless effort on their behalf. She is remembered by her colleagues and friends as a thoughtful, generous and kind person whose warm smile and determined spirit will not be forgotten. The memorial service and celebration of Liisa’s life took place on Monday April 4 at St. Philips Anglican Church. Roper Greyell has established a memorial trust account to which donations in lieu of flowers or otherwise can be made. The funds will be directed towards education expenses for Liisa’s two sons, Ryan and Ian.
