Ryan Copeland (Articled Student)

Before receiving his law degree from the University of Victoria in 2008, Ryan studied biological sciences at U.B.C, graduating with a B.Sc. in 2000. He commenced articling at Roper Greyell in July of 2008 and anticipates being called to the B.C. Bar midway through 2009.

Ryan assists our lawyers in the research and preparation of client matters in all areas of labour and employment law including human rights and privacy law issues. Ryan is an excellent legal researcher and has prepared legal opinions and papers addressing a variety of workplace issues. He is a member of the Employment Law, Labour Law, and Human Rights subsections of the Canadian Bar Association.

Ryan's previous work experience is both diverse and representative of B.C.'s unique economy. Among other things, he has worked as a ski guide, a professional tree feller, a construction worker, and a forest firefighter.

Outside of work, Ryan likes to go fast and is frequently spotted pursuing this passion at ski hills, bike parks and racetracks throughout B.C. and the Pacific Northwest. Ryan also enjoys travelling, photography, climbing, and generally taking in all that life has to offer.
